On April 2, 2019, the P&K Equipment team received an invitation from Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture, Blayne Arthur, to help kick off the 2019 Ag Day at the Oklahoma Capitol. Our team provided three John Deere tractors for what turned out to be an epic celebration.
The P&K team met Oklahoma Governor, Kevin Stitt, Senate Pro Tempore, Greg Treat, and Speaker of the House, Charles McCall, at the Governor's Mansion. P&K owner, Dr. Barry Pollard, and General Manager, Scott Eisenhauer, each provided the Governor, Senate Pro Tem, and Speaker with a quick tractor driving lesson around the helipad.
Once everyone got the hang of driving their tractors, it was GO TIME! Stitt, Treat, and McCall drove their tractors through the mansion gates, down the road, and up Lincoln Boulevard to the State Capitol. There, they were greeted by dozens of FFA and 4H students, several lawmakers, and Arthur.
From meeting and greeting the lawmakers, seeing the John Deere tractors traveling down Oklahoma City streets, and watching them park in front of the Capitol steps, the P&K team had a great time joining in the celebration. We were honored to be a part of it all.
